Making new friends at RFBO

Sorting/ Packing Food
376 Cases | 5,640 Pounds of Food
4,700 Meals

Yesterday, was the first of 2023 volunteer opportunities with our local Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. We had an amazing time making new friends and volunteering with our Medley Cares Program. All but one of our 6 volunteers today, were new to serving our community with RFBO. T. Bradley, our veteran volunteer, ensured everyone had a great time sorting through pallets of boxed non-perishables in the warehouse. Therefore, two full hours seemed to pass by with only a blink!

Providing nutritious meals

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma provides meals to Oklahomans who are food insecure throughout central and western Oklahoma. As a result, families such as chronically hungry children, seniors living on limited incomes, and hardworking families struggling to make ends meet, are provided nutritious meals every day.

“This was my first time volunteering with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. The music was great! The work was fast-paced, great cardio! I did not realize the logistics involved, however, and was pleased to learn they serve so many communities and organizations. We really had a great time and certainly can’t wait for next month!”   – J. Owens

Most importantly, volunteers are encouraged to bring their friends and family to volunteer also – “the more, the merrier!

Together we can make a difference.

The Medley Cares program promotes team building throughout the company, community awareness, and creates a sense of value and purpose. please contact Jennifer Owens at (405) 946-3453 Ext. 1261 for more information if you would like to participate, or are a Charitable Organization that needs helping hands.
